Frank Sansosti

Dr. Sansosti is an Associate Professor in the School Psychology Program at Kent State University. He has extensive experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in both school and clinic settings. Prior to his current position, Dr. Sansosti worked as a school psychologist and district level autism consultant. While in this role, he provided coaching and technical assistance for early intervention and best practice approaches for students with ASD in inclusive settings, and coordinated efforts between parents, teachers, administrators, and district level personnel. Dr. Sansosti’s primary research interests focus on the development and implementation of computer-based technologies and mobile devices to teach social and/or behavioral skills to students in school-based settings. More specifically, Dr. Sansosti is interested in conducting applied research to demonstrate the effectiveness of computers and mobile devices for teaching a variety of social skills to individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other related disabilities (i.e., Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorders). Relatedly, Dr. Sansosti is interested in studying the impact of technology on the professional development needs of both pre- and in-service educators.
